What is a fuel card, and how does it work?
A fuel card from Less Per Litre is a payment solution that allows you to refuel your vehicle at any of our 3,000 affiliated stations across the UK. Instead of paying at the pump, your transactions are recorded and billed weekly using a direct debit, providing a 5p per litre discount on every purchase.
Is my first card really free?
Yes, it is absolutely FREE! There’s no postage fee, no monthly fees and no transaction fees.
Are there any hidden fees or charges?
No, there are no hidden fees associated with our fuel cards. You pay for the fuel you use, and that’s it.
How do I use my card and can I get help using my card?
Initially, activate your account through the online portal upon receipt of your card. You will then be issued a PIN, necessary for each transaction. Fill your vehicle with standard diesel, hand the fuel card to the cashier, and input your PIN. The cashier will issue a receipt showing the full price; however, your online account will reflect the discount and the funds will be collected the following week at the discounted rate. You do not need to show your ID to pay for fuel. If asked you do not need to provide your registration plate or mileage, these questions are for business users. We are always here to support you in the use of your card(s) and savings.
Where can I use my fuel card?
The Less Per Litre fuel card is accepted at over 3000 locations, including major stations like Shell, BP, Esso, and supermarket chains like Morrisons, ensuring coverage across 97% of UK postcode areas.
Can I use my Less Per Litre fuel card at supermarket fuel stations?
Your Less Per Litre fuel card is accepted at select supermarket fuel stations. When you fill up at Morrisons and ASDA Express, you’ll enjoy the full 5p per litre discount on diesel. While you can also use your card at Tesco and Sainsbury’s fuel stations, please note that a 0.5p per litre discount applies at these locations.
For the maximum savings, we recommend using your card at our extensive network of dedicated fuel stations—including Esso, Shell, BP, Texaco, Total, and more—where the full 5p per litre discount is available. Is there a minimum or maximum spend required?
There’s no minimum spend required with our fuel card. You can use it as much or as little as you need, making it flexible for all users. If you think you may need to consume more than 450 litres per week on your account, please contact us to discuss the limit being lifted on your account..
How long does it take to receive my fuel card after signing up?
After your application is approved, your Less Per Litre fuel card should arrive within 15 days. However, this can sometimes take a little longer during periods of heavy demand.
Can I cancel my fuel card at any time?
Yes, you can cancel your Less Per Litre fuel card at any time without penalties. Simply contact us and we’ll cancel your account.
Who can apply for a fuel card, and are there any eligibility requirements?
Our fuel cards are available to both private individuals and businesses. As long as you have a valid bank account for payments, you’re eligible to apply.
Are spaces limited?
Yes, spaces are limited! We can only process a limited number of cards each week on a first-come, first-served basis. Once spaces are filled, you’ll be added to a priority queue for the following week. To ensure you don’t miss out, we recommend ordering as soon as possible.
Can I fill up using premium diesel instead of regular diesel?
While you can use your Less Per Litre fuel card to purchase premium diesel, please be aware that the fuel provider charges an additional 10% per litre on top of the pump price for premium diesel.
